“These prints evidence a performative artwork in which I pressed the monkey mask to the cardboard to make an impression in acrylic paint. They are meant, with the accompanying poem, as a reflection on our current political climate.”

Jennifer,
Your poem is an excellent rendering of today’s political landscape, and a fine accompaniment to the monkey theme. The square dance cadence further enhances how ludicrous the situation has become, with democrats and republicans turning in time with the music, arm in arm with each other, perfectly happy to continue “Slingin’ the mud” and not realizing that they are really just monkeys in poop! Well done!
