“Unlike on Earth, privilege, money, and police shields have no impact on justice in the Peaceable Kingdom. Imagine the advance that this country and this world could make if we transcended the historical prologue to our society.”
ARTIST BIO: Jim Weaver’s interest in nature and the outdoors led him to a 30-year-career in environmental restoration. This followed degrees in forestry and water resources engineering, and time spent in private industry. Throughout, Jim has had an interest in art, fed mostly through visits to museums. Along the way, he began tooling leather as a project with his son and found that the traditional motifs and focus on fine craft could be expanded with a broader perspective that includes social and environmental themes. Stepping out further, he has developed techniques to use tooled leather pieces to make prints on paper.
