“This piece is to show and express the feelings of dysphoria and feeling trapped inside something that doesn’t feel like your own, and the act of breaking free from the confines of doubt, shame, and judgment. It is also to show that there is hope after moments of darkness, and that there is growth within the darkness. We all deserve to transcend beyond what we thought was possible and to live fully as ourselves, no matter who that may be.”
