“This painting was created in reference to an AI prompt in which an image generating program was asked to repeatedly make a “more normal” image. It generated whiter and whiter images and this is a critique on whiteness as “the default” or standard of beauty.”
ARTIST BIO: Daniel Roper is a pediatrician who works in Columbus and Chillicothe, Ohio. He was inspired to do art while trying to find balance while in medical school. Daniel likes to use mixed media to create dimension and hopes that his pieces have both obvious symbolism and room for interpretation.
