“The piece I made represents immigration and relates to the topics of UN declaration of human rights. Immigration is still happening today and affects many people in different ways. In my piece I added tulips to represent peace, and a broken chain to represent justice and to break the cycle of immigration, because everyone deserves to be equal and free.”
ARTIST BIO: Juan Renteria is a Grade 10 student at OHHS. As a mixed media artist, he specializes in combining different traditional drawing techniques with diverse materials. Juan likes drawing, especially portraits.
