ARTIST BIO: Based in Cincinnati Ohio, River Kirby’s work is rooted in his connection to the land in Ohio. He creates compassionate sculptures that memorialize the lives of local wildlife lost to human on the road, and has a deep commitment to care for the forgotten lives that we pass by daily. Kirby’s work explores mortality, grief, life and love through a merging of traditional techniques and contemporary methods of art making. He invites others to join him in these quiet acts of caring.
