ARTIST BIO: Bridgette Johnson is a feminist painter and mixed-media illustrator. She predominately uses traditional media such as gouache, colored pencil, oil paint, and collage. She finds comfort in humor and approaches sexism and other societal issues through an ironic or satirical lens. Bridgette channels her anxieties and frustrations about life, particularly womanhood, into snarky surreal pieces for viewers to find solace and relatability in.
