Sacred Juxtaposition: “‘Women must be delicate and gentle. Women can’t be intense,’ so they say. Yet, we’re urged to stand tall, to defend our truths. Sometime we want to exist in these singular realities. Some times we don’t. Oftentimes, with quiet mastery, we hold both with grace. A woman’s ambivalence isn’t demeaning—it’s a testament to the vastness she contains.”
HEReafter: “Choosing between solitude and the swell of something more is daunting. Is it freedom or fusion that calls her? Perhaps both. Independence hums with quiet symphonies. Motherhood pulses with echoed heartbeats. Each path holds a story. Neither eclipses the other; both cradle the possibility of becoming. She chooses—or maybe, her path chooses her. Either way, a woman flourishes.”
Growing Pains: “Change is inevitable. It’s both naturally beautiful and uncomfortable. We can cradle that beauty with the confines of familiarity or we can lean into the ache of transformation and bloom. Both options allure at some point. The question is when do you want it?”
ARTIST BIO: Sheridan Davenport is a multifaceted creative with an expertise in branding, experiential design, and storytelling. As a graphic designer and fine artist, her works sparks conversation about the evolving future of visual communication, the evocation of fine art, and how both worlds converge. Her recent art work centers on reflective feminine individuality through mixed media. Her latest piece, “Resonance” is on display at the Cincy Convention Center. Sheridan is also an art professor at Xavier University.
