I came upon this scene in Washington Square in New York. A little boy spontaneously approached a man who was entertaining and shook his hand. I found it a touching moment in the midst of so much world divisiveness and a fitting tribute to the Black Lives Matter movement.
ARTIST BIO: Cincinnati-based Connie Springer is an award-winning photographer and writer specializing in street scenes and such human interest themes as adoptive families, elderly, children, and multicultural images. In 2002 she published a work on adoptive families, OUR FAMILIES: A CELEBRATION OF ADOPTION. Ten years later she published and exhibited POSITIVELY NINETY: Interviews with Lively Nonagenarians (conniespringer.com). Connie studied photography at the Art Institute of Boston and has an M.L.S. in Library Science. She is also a watercolor artist.
