acrylic on canvas, metal vases, painted tree branches, gold leafed driftwood; 55×67″

“My starting point is human history. References to Greek mythology and culture are used every day in America to the very word democracy, derived from the Greek ‘demos,’ the people. This Installation shows ancient figures, ancient vases and an array of tree branches from which we try to see into the past, to learn from the past; which regretfully we usually do not do.”
