“Everyone loves a family gathering, but where does all of that plastic end up? “Bounty” is the ghost of a family meal; forever frozen in time like the many waste materials we use in our food packaging.”
ARTIST BIO: Devon Horton is an oil painter working in Northern Kentucky and her newest series “Penchant” confronts our culture’s obsession with consumption and waste. Each painting features a foreboding pile of trash which relates to a tradition or ritual imbedded in our daily lives and society.
