“In recent years the effects of pollution and global warming have decimated our oceans and no matter what policies and regulations we put in place, protecting these waters and their ecosystems won’t come cheaply. With the type of economy we built, expecting our leaders to do what is necessary to protect the environment feels a lot like me expecting someone to pay forty grand for the work of an unknown artist.”

ARTIST BIO: Katie Curry is currently a student at Northern Kentucky University studying Art Education. She lives in Florence with her parents and siblings. Katie really enjoys using art to make political commentary; it feels cathartic to express her opinions through artistic processes.
