“Painted during the early days of quarantine, this self-portrait captures the moment before leaving the house to enter the Covid-squeezed world. The Patagonia hat is changed to Patacon, the name for a fried plantain in Latin America. While embracing my culinary orientation, it also symbolizes the botanically fried nature of our new reality.”
