“On February 28, 2026 an elementary school in Minab, Iran was struck by multiple U.S. Tomahawk missiles during the opening day of U.S. and Israeli airstrikes. The attack killed 168 children and 14 teachers, making it one of the war’s deadliest single events.”
ARTIST BIO: Su Ready experiments with photo transfers on silk fabrics and stitch them. She finds the combination of textiles, stitching, and photography to be very satisfying. She also combines children’s book bags and toys to make memorials for the children and teachers killed in war. She was child, she was a teacher, she is a woman, and she is compelled to keep the lives of innocents in our consciousness.
