Those who use freedom, peace and justice, assume a posture of superiority as they blur meaning and intent, diminish and extinguish the promise held in these words. We are safe when words have meaning and manifest that meaning in justice for all, peace for all, and freedom for all.”
ARTIST BIO: Presently living in Kentucky, Carol Freid is re-formatting and re-engaging ideas and concepts about art, culture, visibility/invisibility, justice and change through book arts and minimal installations. Her practice continues to find ways to incorporate the exploration of ideas, objects and materials and their manifestation as revelations of a rapidly changing world.
