“I was talking to a friend and said that the ICE shootings in Minneapolis were just the “tip of the iceberg.” Little did I know how true that was! Research found many more people killed by DHS & ICE. These people did not deserve to die. We must keep their memory alive, stop funding the violence, and keep helping our immigrant community members.”
ARTIST BIO: Lauri Ann Aultman is a mixed media artist with a focus on social justice and upcycling. Cincinnati has been her home since 2005. As an educator, poet and visual artist, Lauri Ann has been involved with SOS ART since 2006. She has worked in arts education at museums, recreation centers, and after-school programs. Lauri Ann is currently a teaching artist in Cincinnati and a Health Rhythms Facilitator with the Cincinnati Music and Wellness Coalition.
