“The Syrian civil war has been ongoing since 2011. Ten years later, the massacre of thousands has almost become forgotten. The situation has left their country in rubble and has caused a global wide refugee crisis. Additionally, nations such as the U.S and Russia have directly involved themselves in this conflict — largely based upon greed not compassion.”

ARTIST BIO: Jeff Casto has been creating art for over 35 years. He is a graduate of the Art Academy of Cincinnati (1987) and also has an MFA from the University of Cincinnati (1989). Jeff’s art often combines a variety of medias and found objects in constructed assemblages. His work is simultaneously 2D and 3D. Jeff’s mixed media works often address socio- political concerns.
