“This work, like others in a series of over 100 related watercolors, reflects both the chaos of the pandemic and my attempts to make sense of it. Recognizable objects may or may not come out of my initial mark-making. Painting for me is a process of sensing what is needed and using color, form, and line to achieve some sort of balance within pictorial space. I confess to not knowing how any given picture will turn out.”
ARTIST BIO: Kurt Storch has lived and worked in the Cincinnati area all his life. As an artist/activist in the area of mental wellness, his work is a reflection on the process of creativity as a definitive action. Kurt has worked in different mediums such as drawing, collage, and pastel. His current work is primarily watercolor.

kurt, what a world ur new watercolors!!! harmonious and yet complex with so much hidden deep in them!!!
