“Many people undermine ADHD. Some claim it doesn’t exist, while others claim people with ADHD simply need to “try harder”. My piece tells what goes on in my head as someone with ADHD. In it a clown is balancing atop a ball with various balancing instruments in each hand. This is what it feels like inside my head. The spiral in the background represents how colorful I am as a person, while the world around me is dull and mundane. Not everyone has the same brain, ADHD or not, so this isn’t an accurate representation of everybody, but it is a representation of me.”
