“Guided by art teacher Lindsay Holliday, and using Adobe Express, Princeton High School Students created posters to communicate ideas about Peace & Social Justice addressing a topic of their choice.
The concept of my poster is LGBTQIA+ equality. Being a queer person myself, I’ve always been passionate about dissolving discrimination and promoting peace. I used the preset of a debate because more often than not, people like to try and argue about whether or not queer people deserve to exist. That’s no argument at all; everybody has the exact same right to exist on this planet. I included different pride flags like intersex, aromantic asexual (aroace), transgender, and gay. I also put in the progressive pride flag. This poster portrays the idea that everybody should be able to talk freely about being LGBTQIA+ and being an ally to each other. In times when the rainbow community is under attack, unity, equality, peace, and love are our biggest tools.”
