“Have you or your loved ones ever been affected by a factory? We live in an area known as the rust belt, and while it was once a hub for manufacturing, it has declined in the past century. This decline is partly because of the damage we realized factories cause to people, animals, and the environment. My piece highlights this damage. My family has been affected by factories in our area for years, dating all the way back to my great great grandparents. I hope to inspire others to help keep Ohio factories in check so that our world doesn’t get more damaged ”
