“I have painted a realistic image of the Madras High Court statue. In reality, the statue holds a book of laws in its hands, but in my painting, I have replaced the law book with a dove. The dove symbolises peace and justice, which are the core values of Tamil Nadu. The statue itself represents the idea that no one is above the law and that all people are equal before it. The image is associated with the legendary king Manu Needhi Cholan, who is remembered for his commitment to justice. By portraying him holding a dove, my artwork conveys that both justice and peace are equally important for our society.”
