“This ceramic work “NO Kings” was created in light of the protests that were sweeping in early August. I thought that the piece would become less relevant since the protests slowed down, but I believe this piece is more relevant than ever. The recent political climate is more complex and controversial than before and the president is continuing to overstep his jurisdiction. The unsettling, gritty appearance of this piece is intentional to convey the imperfect power hungry presidency.”
