“This piece is about self-compassion, the deep thoughts that no one hears about. Self-compassion is about treating yourself kindly, this piece illustrates hardships of overthinking and self- loathing. Self-love is a very important part of your life and is essential to a happy and successful life. This piece is meant to show the thoughts some individuals have when self-compassion is not a part of their mental health. Having self-compassion is a key aspect of your life, loving yourself first and giving yourself self-compassion can have a very good impact on your life and health. Many people have some sort of mental health issue that makes them self loath, these intrusive thoughts can make it really hard to complete everyday life. This artwork shows the inside of someone’s head, the way their brain works and how it affected their mood and actions. It shows how their thoughts contributed to the overall being, letting the inside take over the outside. Self-compassion has very good impacts on your life, It activates the brain’s reward and soothing systems. Meaning it reduces stress and simultaneously boosting neurotransmitters like dopamine, oxytocin, and serotonin.”
