“My piece shows how different two lives can be, even when they are separated by a single wall. The goal was to bridge the gap of differences while showing the closeness between the homeless and those whose needs are met. The bridging of differences is shown through one of the dolls handing his food off to the homeless, as everyone needs to eat. Homelessness is a huge issue in today’s world and we really wanted to show how drastically different people’s lives are yet living so close. We see homelessness in our everyday life, it is a huge issue in today’s world. People can live just a wall apart yet have such different lives.”
