“Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American engineer and physicist(1856-1943) who made dozens of breakthroughs in the production of science and technology. For example, he patented the radio and, most importantly, invented alternating current (AC), which powers nearly everything today. Nikola Tesla’s invention and discovery of AC in electrical systems affect our culture today. The reason I chose Nikola Tesla as my celebrity portrait is because of the fascinating and amazing history that is associated with him. The color and portrait I used show the period he was from, and the colors show his calm and electric personality.”
