“Under the guidance of art teacher Steve Groh, students learned about the graffiti style artwork of Keith Haring, and created a drawing in a similar style using symbolic imagery to communicate a message based on a social issue.”
“Inspired by Keith Haring’s impactful style, my artwork tackles the pressing issue of climate change. At the center is a melting globe, symbolizing our planet’s distress, surrounded by factory smoke stacks spewing carbon into the atmosphere. Along the border, the skeletons of animals represent the devastating effects of climate change on wildlife. Through vibrant colors and dynamic lines, I aim to illustrate the destructive impact of human actions on the Earth. This piece urges viewers to recognize the severity of climate change and take action to protect our environment.”
