“This piece is meant to represent how as a mother you feel your child’s emotions. When your child is scared you are scared for them. You can sense when they are upset or frustrated. In this painting a child is scared about their first day of school. The mother knows what emotions they are feeling and tries to be brave to comfort her child even though she feels the same way.”
