“Have you ever thought about what our economy would look like if we didn’t have body cams? What would happen if we didn’t have the eye’s we needed to have to keep us safe? My piece is about body cams. I drew a police officer with a camera for a head, inside the lens of the camera I added a heartbeat to represent the lives of the police officer and the citizens. I included some symbols and sayings to help express my project more. For my mediums I used colored pencil, alcohol markers, and fine line detailing.  In some local communities they may not have enough money to provide their police departments with body cams to ensure that they are protected. I want people to know how important safety is, especially being a police officer. They put their lives on the line every day to help serve and protect our communities.”
