“This work is an oil pastel self-portrait titled ‘I Can Change My Colors’. Finding one’s identity and sense of self can be long and painful, especially in teenage years. This artwork represents the way teenagers, myself included, often try to change themselves, or their colors, for other people. We can all use this artwork as a reminder to always be ourselves and let our true colors show.”
