“This piece is about the homeless population of veterans in America. Veterans make up a large percentage of all people in the U.S. who experience homelessness. It is ironic that as a country we honor our military and make a point to ‘support our troops’ but often forget about them once they are no longer serving. After many of these military members leave the service, they may face difficulties transitioning to civilian life or suffer from PTSD that could factor into their situation. It is important that we remember their sacrifices and not forget these veterans or anyone who may be experiencing homelessness. ”
