“Throughout this series of works, I drew different species on the endangered species list. These artworks also have a deeper meaning to me as they highlight a very important issue about endangered species’ disappearance in the wild. To bring awareness to this, each piece has the color purple somewhere within it. Purple has many meanings in visual art and one I found was sorrow. This sorrow stems from the idea that these animals will not be here anymore unless we act to change for the better.”
