“Under the guidance of art teacher Steve Groh, students learned about the graffiti style artwork of Keith Haring, and created a drawing in a similar style using symbolic imagery to communicate a message based on a social issue.”
“Inspired by Keith Haring’s playful style, my artwork focuses on the urgent issue of raising the minimum wage. The central image features two figures lifting a large dollar bill, symbolizing the collective effort to elevate wages for workers. Their joyful dancing conveys hopefulness and the desire for a better life, reflecting the positive impact that fair pay can have on individuals and communities. Through this piece, I aim to highlight the importance of economic justice and inspire viewers to support initiatives that promote financial equality and dignity for all.”
