“For my social justice piece, the topic I chose was age limitations for politicians. I started this project right before the 2024 presidential elections and I chose this topic kind of going off of that. I think it’s necessary for people of authority, especially in the place of government, to be, for the most part, able minded and able bodied. Now, this doesn’t necessarily mean I want a super young person to be our president. Nor do I think based on age, anybody deserves it any less than anybody else, But I do think it’s important for someone who isn’t nearing death to be running our country.
In this piece, the viewer is looking at a stage of some sort with debate podiums. In between, we see my version of the grim reaper holding an hourglass, representing that the two politicians that should be at the podiums are running out of time. I chose this topic just to make people more aware about who we’re letting run our country and Ihope people think about it more.”
