“AI is slowly taking over lots of human activities, including art. AI generators, like the popular one named MidJourney, is stealing artist’s work and collecting it into its database to create any prompt. Thousands of artists already have seen that their print sales and commissions are declining. More and more people are using AI to develop generated pieces for covers instead of hiring artists. I’m worried about how my art will do in the future if AI continues to take over. Everyone who creates for a living should be in code red. Even businesses and companies would use AI generators to make advertisements and such instead of properly commissioning an artist to create pieces for them. No artist deserves to have their piece that they’ve worked on for hours or even days stolen by an artificial intelligence. AI and the people using them to create art is making lots of artists lose money and even art careers and this scares me as I want to go into the art field too. I still have hope for the future though. I hope that the popularity of AI being used to create art will die down and people will truly see how important raw and creative human skills are for our world.”
