“Drawing is the most important hobby I’ve ever had. It’s who I am – the biggest aspect of my life. I wanted to get an art-based career and become a famous author who creates fiction that would change lives. But I realize that due to AI that job market is collapsing. Artists are lowering their prices out of desperation; writers and actors are losing jobs because companies are replacing them with machines that spit out a copy of their work; even children are losing their hope to create art. When a machine can do what they do ten times faster, what point is there in continuing?”
ARTIST BIO: Mylee Hunter is a grade 11 student at Butler Tech School of Art studying art under art teacher Mary Catherine Ruby.
