“In my drawing I use the topic of book banning as I believe that people shouldn’t have the right to restrict other’s knowledge, based on personal beliefs. Most banned books have to do with topics relating to the LGBTQ+ and Black communities and when they are banned, it makes it harder for people to learn about the world and learn to sympathize with others. Everyone should have the right to decide for themselves what types of books they want to be exposed to, and not to be silenced by others just because they don’t share the same views.”
