“My art piece is about poverty. In downtown Cincinnati, I noticed “Our Daily Bread”, a soup kitchen that offers free meals to those who cannot afford them regularly. In my image, I represent it in black and white first to show how poverty can have negative effects on someone., but also in color, with the sign illuminated as the focal point, to demonstrate how many people around the area work together to try to help those who face poverty. I wanted to show the negatives of homelessness, but also the positive of the community.”
