“Under the guidance of art teacher Kurt Nicaise, students at Saint Ursula Academy made “selfies” and combined them with self-chosen strong personal characteristic or trait. Based on the prompts for the SOS Peace and Justice show, they learned about Non-war Violence, Gender Discrimination, Discrimination, and Inequity. They then wrote personal Statements of Conviction on these topics and chose their most authentic to include in their artworks.”
