digital print; 11×17”
“Under the guidance of my digital art teacher Francine Gibson, I selected War as a theme for my social awareness poster. More than 526,000 People die each year because of the violence associated with armed conflicts. Of the 16.5 million veterans in the United States, there were an estimated 37,000 homeless veterans in 2020, with around 15,000 living completely unsheltered. My public service announcement poster shows awareness against my global issue by showing through pictures what people have to go through and how sad it is from people invading countries and starting wars so that people can see what really goes on. I used Photoshop by collaging the hardships that people have to go through from photos and adding a globe in the center of that to symbolize “world wars” and the Black Panther is in the middle saving the day.”
