“This piece represents all the people in the world who struggle with gender dysphoria in any sense. For trans masculine people like myself, often we fantasize about what life would be like if we had the body we desired. Because gender affirming surgery can be expensive, myself and others dream about the situation depicted: performing “top surgery” at home. Even though one knows that performing this surgery by oneself and not by a professional will result in catastrophic consequences, it’s often all we can hold onto to dream of the body we desire.”
