ARTIST BIO: Lionel Richie Garang was born in Kenya and comes from a background of artists, his mother being a fashion designer. After secondary school he started doing grafitti on Public Service vehicles in Nairobi after which he moved on to trying different materials such as spray paint on nylon sack cloth. Lionel has a studio at brush tu where he works and sells his art. He has participated in many exhibitions including the Friends of the Arts exhibition at the International School of Kenya and Peace through Service at the Village market, ake Basin art group-2010, Art Cafe-2013, Peace Through Service-2013,ISK Fota-2013/2014.He also had some of his work displayed at the British High Commisssion in Nairobi and currently he is at an artist residency in South Africa, jozi.
