“The work depicts police officers during the protests. One is a goon wearing overalls branded with US flag. The other is a slave who was taken to Haiti to fight on behalf of the US, an expendable one who injured his hands with an exploded tear gas. My painting was inspired by war and by a statue along Kenyata Avenue.”
