ARTIST BIO: Born in Zambia in 1995 and a former student of Kenyatta University, Ochieng Richard, aka Taru, is a professional visual artist and painter based in Kenya. Oil paint is his preferred medium and his chosen style is realism as it puts life into perspective. Taru was brought into the art world as a child by his older sister who is an artist, and by his mother who is a fashion designer. Art is a major part of his life and he uses it to communicate and raise awareness about various issues.
