“Portrays the relationship between a boy and his dog Motina, a common dog breed endemic to African countries. The piece shares a different and more modern story of Africa through local and vibrant colors. Africa is rich, and full of colors.”
ARTIST BIO: Njenga Njuguna is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist whose creative journey began with hand-painted clothing, a fusion of fabric and expression. What started as a passion for design quickly evolved into a deeper calling: storytelling. Through various mediums including painting, mixed media, and wearable art, Njenga strives to celebrate and elevate the richness of African culture. His work is a love letter to the Kenyan heritage, its colors, traditions, rhythms, and untold narratives, blending ancestral inspiration with contemporary vision and creating art that speaks, connects, and empowers. Every one of his art works is a tribute to the beauty and resilience of Africa and her peoples’ lives.
