The 1st annual collective art show for Peace and Justice by Kenyan artist

This 1st SOS ART Kenya annual collective art show for Peace and Justice by Kenyan Artists and Artists living in Kenya, was organized by House of Friends (HOF)/Kibera Arts District/Nairobi in collaboration with SOS ART Cincinnati. It was inspired by 23 similar annual SOS ART exhibits held in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, since 2003.
The exhibit took place from November 1 to December 14, 2025, in eight art spaces of the Kibera Arts District (KAD) of Nairobi, curated by Jamey Ponte, Santana Sino, Winfred Mumbi, and Saad Ghosn. Participation was plentiful with more than 300 entries by more than 100 individual artists, including artists from private collections; also by many artworks by Kenyan youth from ARThaus and its various partners. The variety of the messages for peace and justice was wide in breadth and depth, and covered both the personal and the universal, contributing to a better world and to a shared truthful humanity.
Many thanks go to all the participating artists, individual, youth and from private collections, who added their voice to this exhibit, who shared themselves and their messages for peace and justice with all of us, and who, by doing so, planted in us seeds for a better world.

HOW TO VIEW THE SHOW: There are thumbnails of all the artworks submitted, each labeled with the artist’s name. Clicking on the thumbnail opens a page which has the image of the respective art piece. Click the i information icon at the bottom and right of the image page to reveal all its accompanying pertinent information (title, medium, dimensions, accompanying artist statement, and artist succinct biography); the information will then appear for all following images. At the bottom of the page is a tab that allows, by clicking on it, to view a full size of the image; also an icon for comments in case the viewer wishes to share thoughts, impressions, reflections, etc.
