“‘Equal Justice Under the Claw’ critiques power and the erosion of justice in America. Its oversized head reflects Trump’s inflated ego, while gold-touched wings suggest his excess. A flimsy paper crown symbolizes unstable, imagined kingship. Gripped in its talons, Lady Liberty, once a beacon of freedom, appears imperiled, representing the erosion of American ideals. The piece warns how justice—and the promise of justice—falters when authority is driven by vanity instead of compassion.”
