The exhibit “Imprinting Justice, Ceramics and Prints,” took place from January 9 to February 26, 2026 at The Trish Martindell Gallery, Queen City Clay, in Norwood, OH. It consisted of 36 prints by 36 International Artists part of IPEP India 2024 (International Print Exchange Program), and of 46 ceramic pieces by 25 Greater Cincinnati Artists. Both components of the show were curated by me, Saad Ghosn, Founder and President of SOS ART, using the theme of “Imprinting Justice.” Artists were challenged to create an artwork that will keep their social justice imprint and their mark by addressing an issue of importance to them.
The messages for peace and justice addressed by both ceramic and printmaker participating artists were plentiful, and their variety, wide in breadth and depth, covering both the personal and the universal. The show was successful and very well attended.
Many thanks go to all the participating artists, whether international or local, who added their voice to the exhibit, shared themselves and their messages for peace and justice with all of us, and who, by doing so, planted in us seeds for a better world. Many thanks also go to Queen City Clay who provided the venue for the show and to Jon Stein, its Education Director, for all his support throughout. And last but not least, many thanks to IPEP India (ipepindia.com) and to its Director Rajesh Pullarwar for having selected me to curate the IPEP 2024 exchange.
