“‘Giant Prevailing’ consists of 25 earthenware tiles, carved to represent the Giant Pacific Octopus which represents nature’s brilliance, and is among many creatures feeling the impact of pollution and climate change. We must serve justice for those that cannot advocate for themselves.”

ARTIST BIO: Abigail Morgan is an Art Education major and Undergraduate Research Fellow at Morehead State University. Her work is expressive while maintaining a focus on the environment and human experience. Abigail had work published in the 2025 Inscape: Literary & Visual Arts Journal. She has displayed work in multiple exhibits at the Rowan County Arts Center in Morehead, KY, and at the Gateway Regional Arts Center in Mt. Sterling, KY.
