“Smartphones and social media have become so ingrained in our lives that they have become an extension of our hands and minds. But there are studies that indicate smartphones and social media are hurting our collective mental health. What are we missing out on in life by constantly being distracted and advertised to while looking at these screens?”

ARTIST BIO: Ken Swinson is a multi-disciplinary artist from rural Kentucky. He believes that art transcends languages, borders, and cultures — a tool for building friendships and greater understanding between different people. He is currently the artist-in-residence at the historic Dr. William Goforth house in Old Washington, KY and also maintains a studio at the Pendleton Art Center in Cincinnati.
